Wrexham RNA Branch pulled out all the stops during the Coronavirus Pandemic lockdown 2020, by looking at new ways of keeping the branch together, supporting members via phone calls, welfare calls by the Branch Welfare Officer the “Bish” Shipmate Reverend Heather Shotton and the Branch Assistant Welfare Officer Shipmate Peter Diaper making personal phone calls. Branch Members also made use of Zoom for branch meetings and posted information via our Wrexham RNA Facebook site, :https://www.facebook.com/groups/wrexhambranchrna
Wrexham RNA Branch Members also turned out at socially distanced events in support of the Falklands War Remembrance Service, VE Day Celebrations in the community and by sharing members celebrations at home.
The 75th Anniversary of VJ Day was also celebrated in Wrexham by the Wrexham Branch, along with veterans from the Royal Welch Fusiliers, Royal Artillery and other Armed Forces Veterans at a socially distanced event at the Burma Star Memorial and Cenotaph in Wrexham.
